Charles Franklin aka(Kyle Blaque) Charles began life surrounded by music. His uncle worked at one of the first Urban Music stores in Baltimore and was a DJ. His interest in music continued to grow and he learned how to play the piano at an early age.
He then went on to play the violin, sax, and trumpet. During these years, Charles did not realize how blessed he was to grow up in an environment that encouraged him to expand his musical knowledge. "I had no idea that other kids didn't have every old record sitting in their uncle's basement." From Soul to Jazz, Disco to Funk, the beginnings of Hip Hop to Underground House, just about everything was in that room.
Charles grew up in that room, playing the old records, and DJing for himself. At the age of 15, Charles started down the road of DJing Hip Hop and Rap. He would DJ at various events and was well-received.
At 17, Charles' eclectic style led him to DJing Electronica. Around this same time, he began to learn the guitar. He found both outlets very enjoyable. He would spend the next ten years learning everything about playing the guitar and producing music. Learning from every source he could, Charles began to produce Deep House and Nu-Skool Breaks. After years of producing, he was asked by a friend to produce some Hip Hop tracks. This sparks a creativity in Charles that is like a fire and he is led to the beginning of another journey. Now, with many years of experience on his side, the tracks are coming out very smooth. He has realized that he has honed his talent and is now ready to pursue a career in music. He is eagerly moving toward these goals with a finely trained and knowlegeable musical background, and understanding of what makes people move, and feels he has the skills to create high quality music for the mainstream media. "I feel my personal musical voice and ear has matured to the point that I can offer something different, original, and of high quality." Stay tuned to this guy, he as music in his blood .
